Regina's Makeup Trial!

Who: Regina
What: Makeup Trial/Engagement Photo Makeup
When: Monday, July 23

You know how you have those days where everything just seems to work out perfectly, even when there are so many other factors that might get in the way? Yep! This was one of those times :)

My friend Regina and I had originally scheduled our Makeup Trial for a Saturday, but she ended up coming on a Monday instead. This worked out for EVERYONE'S schedule, from the future bride and groom, to the photographer taking their engagement photos, to me! Yay!

You may remember Regina from a couple of my previous posts:
60's Mod - 2009

Bridesmaid Updo - 2012

We've always had a lot of fun, and this time was no different... except it was for something much more special :) Regina's getting married!!! Her makeup application this time around would also double up for her engagement photos scheduled for later that day.

Before and After #1
Regina was going for something slightly "Mad Men" with a lighter hand on the eyeliner.

Regina has been my guinea pig on multiple occasions, including this time! I had recently purchased my first makeup airbrush kit, and Regina let me use it on her!

This is the airbrush I now use to help apply foundation:

I will eventually blog about the Luminess Air airbrush kit and all its benefits.

Regina, I can't wait to celebrate with you and Eder! You two are awesome!

Jenny's Wedding Makeup!

Who: Jenny
When: Saturday, July 21
Where: San Francisco

So what's the best way to unwind from the craziness that is the first day of school?... blog about a great summer day full of fun ladies and colorful makeup!!!

I'm so excited to finally get the chance to share about Jenny's wedding makeup application! Alex and I arrived at the San Francisco Timeshare early in the morning at 6am. What was so sweet was Jenny's future Father-in-law, who met us by the door to welcome us and show us the way to the room. He was so happy and warm, and just downright hospitable!

Jenny sat down in the makeup chair last, after she had gotten her hair done.

Before and After

Working on evening out Jenny's skin tone

Jenny had to keep her eyes closed for quite a while as the lash glue was drying. She even drank water with her eyes closed!

Eyebrows, cheeks, eyeshadow, and lashes are all done. Just adding the last touches of eyeliner.

Bridesmaids looking on

Oh my gosh!!! Jenny's eyes are so beautiful!

Jenny, there was no doubt in anyone's mind how happy a bride you were that day. You were glowing! Wishing you and James loads of fun, giggles, and together time.

Hong's Makeup Application [BM]

Who: Hong
When: Saturday, July 21
Where: San Francisco

Oh my goodness! Where has the summer gone! I can't believe it's almost been 1 month since Jenny's wedding. This next post will be on Jenny's bridesmaid, and fellow Evergreen Teacher, Hong!!!

Hong was completely calm and relaxed, despite the crazy schedule she has :) She sat down in the makeup chair and we had a lot of fun with creating her look.

Before and After

Starting with primer and an even foundation application

I had just placed Hong's false lashes on her right eye. Waiting for the lash glue to dry is key before opening the eyes. Doing so before it's dry can cause the glue to bump up onto the eyelid and create a dark, unwanted mark that's not easy to take off.

Eyeliner and closed lids
Hong's eyes are HUGE!!! I didn't have to trim any of the lashes to fit to her lash line.

So cute! Jenny and Mariah giggling and looking on as Hong was getting her makeup done.

Working on Hong's lips

Wishing you the best at K.R. Hong! I will always have a place in my heart for the kids there. I know you'll do great and create some awesome relationships there!
