This past weekend, I had the chance to go down to LA and visit a few friends. Jamie was one of them! I had met Jamie in our first year of college at SJSU through a humanities program we both ended up taking. Though the classes themselves turned out to be duds, our friendship didn't! I'm so blessed that Jamie was able to be one of my bridesmaids!

God has been super good to us in the course our lives have taken. Jamie moved to LA, got married (Hi Romeo!), and had a baby!

We decided to do a little makeup application during the trip. I wanted to give Jamie a natural glow that would match so well with how she was with Anthony. Truly a fun mom to be around!

It was definitely a fun time to catch up with Jamie and her family. I hadn't seen her and Romeo since my wedding over a year ago. I LOVED meeting Anthony and being one of his aunties! Looking forward to more trips to LA in the future :)

Retiring Portfolio Photos

So for those of you who have been following my blog, you know that I haven't been doing makeup for too long. June 28th will mark my "One Year" of officially being a makeup artist Yay! :)

This year's experiences have been tremendous, and exciting, and super memorable... "Tremexable!" I could not have done it without the support and encouragement from God's blessings, Honey, and my friends and family.

This past Saturday, we had a magnificent time at the first Jo Chow Summer Makeup Event! (Much much more on that to come later.) As I was able to have some awesome photographers come and help with taking photos, I have decided to retire my old portfolio pictures that have been up on my website for the past year. I will soon be replacing them with some of the work done at the event this past Saturday.

I will definitely miss these portfolio pictures being up on my webpage. I remember each and every model friend and the trial that produced these before and after shots. Every experience was a learning one, and I am so grateful they allowing me to use their faces as a canvas.

Working with Jenny on her wedding day was really a treat. I had saved her makeup application for last, and in the time before it was her turn, she was the perfect host! Not only was she offereing me food and drink, she was also taking the time and effort to make sure everyone else in the room was taken care of as well. I loved how she was so calm and perfectly at ease...even when both Margaret and I had to work on her at the same time! Jenny was truly a no-drama bride :)

I thought I'd focus this entry on Jenny's bridesmaids :) Margaret and I met up with the bridal party on Saturday morning. I had such a fun time with Yisi, Cora, and Shan. I thought it was so cute how they had all slept over and were still in their PJ's. It reminded me of the sleepovers I used to have when I was younger. It was extremely easy working with the bridesmaids and they were so supportive of Jenny. Good job girls! Thanks for letting me have such a wonderful experience with all of you!
