Karen is a beautiful woman. Gorgeously stunning and humble with a gentle spirit :) I'm absolutely thrilled to share with you Karen's wedding day prep! It's the funniest "What a small world" story about how we met, along with the "wait, how do you know so-and-so?" question. Click here to read a little more about it.
The day started off early for Honey (who came to help take photos), Bo (my assistant), and myself. We had a lot of ladies to prep and get wedding ready with hair and makeup, and we wanted to make sure everyone was out the door on time!

MATRON OF HONOR: CATHERINE
Oh Catherine :) I love this girl! We were joking that Catherine was a pro in my chair since I've done her makeup three times!!! The first as a bridesmaid in 2009, then as a bride in 2013, and now as a MOH in 2014. So much fun!

Catherine's hair is extremely long and super thick. We ended up curling all her hair and pinning back one side.

Eyeliner, blush, lips (So glad that Karen voted for a pop of color on her BMs' lips! Played off really well with the BM dresses.)
BM: AMANDA
It was great chatting with Amanda! It's not every day you meet someone adventurous who had decided to travel and live halfway across the world with their husband for a number of years. Why? Because they wanted to, and could! Now they're back, and I'm sure they have plenty of wonderful stories and memories to share.

BM: SHERROLYNN
Sherrolynn was such a trooper! She was so very gracious about bouncing in and out of the hair and makeup chairs and waiting until the end to have her look finally completed. Also, this girl has THE LONGEST hair I've ever worked with :)

I know Joyce! We had met many years ago through mutual friends at our church retreat. When I found out she was one of Karen's BM's, I was so excited to be able to see her again! Plus, this girl does not stop smiling. She is so sweet :)

Jean was a joy to work with! With her sense of humor, I can see how the traveling abroad she does with her girlfriends must be so much fun.

Jean didn't have any preference for hair, so I gave her some loose volumizing curls for a fresh summery feel.

We went for a rich colored lip to play off the rest of the wedding party look, as well as Jean's dress color.

Karen's bump was intentionally created higher so that the look would still be balanced once her tiara was placed on. We also made the updo have a slightly more grecian look compared to the more romantic look created during her trial to match the style of her wedding gown.

MAKEUP
Who wants to be sick on their wedding day? NO ONE!!! Bet you can't tell that Karen had been sick for three weeks huh? Since she didn't have to be first to get her hair and makeup, everyone was encouraging her to try and take a nap. Hope you're feeling better now Karen!
